I recently signed up to review a product from JetPens, a Japanese website that sells writing implements, stationery, and some office supplies such as paperclips and staplers. They send an item at random in exchange for a review, and the product I received was a giraffe puzzle eraser from the Iwako Zoo Novelty Eraser set.
The eraser is made from a durable rubber, it comes apart and snaps back together very easily and doesn’t feel like it’s going to break or fall apart from being played with. I didn’t want to ruin it by using it as an eraser, but for the sake of the review, I drew a tiny squiggle and used the giraffe’s neck to erase it so I wouldn’t dirty the yellow parts of the eraser. It erases cleanly with very little pressure, so it functions nicely as both toy and eraser.
I’m not sure why the product description doesn’t say this eraser is a puzzle, there’s nothing mentioned about the animals being able to come apart. I happened to know already, but it was still fun to open the package and take the giraffe apart. I’d imagine you can even swap the heads of the animals if you buy the set. I plan on buying it myself, I’d love to have the elephant and cow as well.
