30 Days of Creativity: The goal is to create something, anything, for every day of June.
Today I didn’t make anything, but I was crafty. I painted a glass jar with Elmers glue that was colored with a bit of food coloring, giving it a stained glass effect. The jar’s still drying since I painted the inside and it pooled into the handle, but for the most part, it’s done and dry.
Depending on the size of what you’re working with, you only need about a tablespoon or two of Elmers (white glue) with a few drops of food coloring. Mix it up really good, then paint the outside of the glass. It’ll airdry in less than an hour, give it about a day if you painted something like a jar lid like I did. As far as I can tell, it’s not permanent and can peel off, and don’t bake it in the oven because that’ll probably turn into a gummy mess. This is best for things like jars and vases, this isn’t foodsafe and don’t do it to things you’d have to wash beyond using a damp paper towel on.
